63rd Salon de Montrouge

Beffroi de Montrouge April 28-May 23, 2018

Graphic design: Atelier Baudelaire x GeneralPublic

"The Salon de Montrouge, fully supported by the City, continues and remains one of the major annual events of contemporary art. This 63rd edition, more than ever committed to artists, continues thanks to the Montrougans and occupies its place in the world of art thanks to professionals."
Etienne Lengereau, mayor of Montrouge

"This new edition of the Salon de Montrouge will once again be an opportunity to showcase the wealth and excellence at work in young French creation. Together with our collaborators, Vincent Le Bourdon for the scenography and Camille Baudelaire and Jérémie Harper for the visual identity, we will try to highlight the creation through a group exhibition where you can discover the 52 artists selected for this 63rd Salon. Year after year, it turns out that contemporary creation remains a dynamism foolproof, rich in various personalities, multiple and driven by a desire to share and emulation."
Ami Barak & Marie Gautier, artistic directors

Since its creation in 1955, the Salon de Montrouge is the emblematic event for the discovery of emerging artists in France, all disciplines combined. Today, it can boast of a quality, a requirement and a reputation that transcends borders. For over 60 years, the Salon de Montrouge has been a decisive support for the future of the French art scene, in all its diversity and for an audience that is always faithful and curious (more than 25,000 visitors come every year to discover the new edition). Organized and financed since its creation by Montrouge, host city for contemporary art, the Salon has revealed many famous artists like Felice Varini, Hans Bouman, Valerie Favre, Georges Rousse, Hervé Di Rosa, and, more recently, the new talents from the world of art, such as Théo Mercier, Pauline Bastard, Marion Bataillard, Clement Cogitore...
